Happy Fish

Has your imagination ever becharmed you into the confines of an aquarium? Well may be or may not be. But why would it be so important to envisage oneself in a vivarium? We often complain of the 7 deadly sins – pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth that plague our conscious and enfeeble our determination to remain in peace with our universe. Happiness can neither be found in the vastness of the universe nor in the confines of a nutshell unless one finds it in the core of his heart. Hence happiness is still considered as a cliché by many! If you give a thought to this dissilient question the answer for the macrocosm of conspicuous lies in the simple microcosm of inconspicuous.
The aquarium that embellishes our home has more to reveal than that meets the eyes. If only we learn the art of living from a fish! The hands that crafted the universe blessed silence to a fish and words to men. That’s the reason why a fish would never complain about the shape of the aquarium that it is placed in or the endowments in it and neither does it run away when you play with it nor complain when you ignore it, because it knows its role in the creation and that is to happily swim every bit of its life to discover the marvels of god in the depths of an ocean or at the corners of an aquarium. The past is forgotten, the future is unknown but all that remain is the beautiful present to realise the happiness that dwells within.

The War of Worlds

The war of worlds took its toll on many human lives both in the First and the Second World War. But the war of the worlds wasn’t all about the obliteration of human lives but it was an act of survival of the fittest. And soon only the best forayed into the pavilions of the future to control the dynamics of the world.
The major beneficiary of the war was science and technology as it received a lightening boost during the testing times in order to out do the enemy at any cost. The human loss on both the sides took its toll on the minds of the innocent people forever. They were lost in a vortex of dictatorship, capitalism and socialism. They were driven into madness and chaos. They had no where else to run. And then something sparked off, which led to the birth of new age heroes. This bastion had a cause and they served to liberate the human civilization from clutches of dark ages. In the process they made significant contributions in many areas such as arts, literature, cinema, music, medical science, science and technology and even the world politics. In simple the hiccup of war had changed the geographies of the western world as it led to the germination of human spirit and intellect into many unforeseen ramifications which was unheard off at their times and took them to the future right from the past.
The east is yet to catch up with the west no matter what the present trend would show just because we have become nothing more than consumers at the core and forgotten the essence of life. We are sold to the comforts of materialism which will take us no where. We have forgotten that people are the pulse of the nation. If today we don’t see any great leaders emerging of the caliber of yester years then we have no one else to blame but ourselves. Soon there will an irrepressible emotional difference among people of different geographies, religions and stratum; rather the unholy has already begun.
War is the only solution and I mean it. Sooner or later terrorism would incinerate the peace that’s left; governments would become nothing more than puppets in the hands of rich corporate houses and mob rule would be the order of the day. Only the weak would sit helplessly and still reflect an unperturbed calmness. Such revilement would only hurt the brave for the blood that runs in them is not cold yet. The climax of such an irrepressible degradation of the social frame work would inevitably end in a bloody war. And when it befalls, don’t cry for the dead but cheer for the survivors. Because a new beginning awaits to transpire us into the future tense from the present tense! Our nations shall reap the benefits of the war just like the western world did when it collapsed only to rise like a phoenix.

The butcher in me !

There lives a butcher in all of us. The only question is how dominant is he? The more dominant he is the more one is inclined to flagitious behavior. These are the people who are ego centric at the core. But in some cases the butcher is not only dominant but also very smart. Such as the two faced demons who live among us in many disguises. There lives a butcher in me as well but he is a righteous one. One who wants to break free from the prescript of god and consecrate his life with vengeance for the sole purpose of demolishing the ego centric maniacs! But it is not possible by only one to rage a war against the demons and then to win it as well. The creation of god has not stood still, the humanity is no more sane, then why do we still choose to follow the age old doctrines of ahimsa even when the dog minded people slap our dignity right out off the face. There is a tripping point in all of us but the only question is when does it spark off. The tripping point in me has sparked off a new rage and that is to burn all the evil around me even if I get burned in the process. But I shall not lie down and accept the exploitations like I used to before discovering the bloody butcher in me! I am no more sane because "I am a butcher " and shall be one until I fade.

Simple math of life !

SOCIETY = I + WE + THEM

  1. I = VALUES + GOALS + ATTITUDE + EGO
  2. WE = RESPECT + LOVE + COMMITMENT + SACRIFICE
  3. THEM = PERCEPTION + COMPROMISE + RETURNS

A Lot Like Love

A lot like love, a lot like love,
That comes along,
But not like love, that stays along.
A lot like love, a lot like love,
That happens so often,
But not like love, that happens only once.
A lot like love, a lot like love,
That thrills you for a while,
But not like love, that drives you till you fall.
A lot like love, a lot like love,
That takes it all,
But not like love, that gives it all.
A lot like love, a lot like love,
That sinks when it is time,
But not like love, that yearns beyond lifetime.

MOViEMANiA

The impressions that “Edward scissor hands” left on me as a kid would have lasted like forever but wait! All that seems to have been changed now! Off late, movies like Taxi driver, Leaving Las Vegas, A lot like love and Two weeks notice have rightfully replaced some of my all time favorite movies. The reason – they are not the finest creations of certain genius like Steven Spielberg or Clint Eastwood but they are very simple movies with simple characters but unbelievably resembling me in many ways. Be it Robert De Niro’s ire against the system in Taxi Driver, Nicolas Cage’s habituation for loneliness in Leaving Las Vegas, Santra bullock’s prescript for life in Two weeks notice or Ashton Kutcher’s chasteness in A lot like love. These are the characters that I live with beneath the color of my skin. If only the world were to be a stage then I would have played all these characters with a compulsive panache! The creators of these movies have really succeeded in making me believe that some emotions and characters are really a by product of the circumstance that they are subjected to. In simple, a high five to this movies! Watch it to feel it guys!
